Swagbucks is a reward site offering multiple avenues to earn rewards and make a little extra money online. Most of you considering Swagbucks are trying to figure out if it is a legitimate company. I can say that Swagbucks is not just legitimate, but it has a sort of cult following on the internet. What is also exciting about Swagbucks is that you can likely sign up this very day to start earning some extra money!
This is not to say that you yourself will enjoy what Swagbucks has to offer. Rather, it is to say that if you decide to try Swagbucks, you will be compensated and rewarded just as their terms state and you will not be suspect to any shady dealings.
Whether Swagbucks is for you is another question, and that is what we will try to answer in this article.
First, I will go over some of the popular categories you can use to earn rewards with Swagbucks. If you are still skeptical of Swagbucks after this, I will then go over my theory as to who will be a good fit for Swagbucks. I will also provide a link for an immediate $5 to your account!
Onwards to discover the cult following of Swagbucks!
What exactly IS Swagbucks?
Swagbucks offers multiple categories of ways to earn rewards online. Those rewards can be spent on gift cards such as Amazon, Target, Ebay, etc… As well as gift cards considered cash, such as Visa and PayPal gift cards.
Swagbucks pays you in, you guessed it, Swagbucks! You earn Swagbucks (SB) by doing different tasks. Each SB is worth about 1 cent. If you make 100 SBs you earn $1.
Some popular categories for earning rewards include:
Below are details on a few of the different categories available on Swagbucks.
The answer section involves taking surveys. You tell the company a little about yourself so they can better hone in on your demographic for survey offers. You may begin answering knockdown questions about your demographics. If you fit into the demographic desired by the company, you will proceed to finish the survey. If you do not fit the demographic, you will have to move on to a different survey. Upon completing a survey, you will receive Swagbucks which you can redeem for gift cards and gift card equivalents of cash.
Search through Swagbucks allows you to earn SB as you surf the internet. You can easily do this by installing the Swagbucks plug-in in your preferred browser. This is the most passive way to earn a little using Swagbucks.
Of course, you are not going to be making big money just by searching the internet. The search feature works randomly so you shouldn’t just sit at your computer and search all day, and you only receive credit up to four times per day, and you do not receive credit for every search you do.
I would say you can make anything from 5 cents to 50 cents just by browsing in a day. Like I said before, “those who crave the idea of making extra money” will be excited. It is not big money, but, if used daily, you can use your SBs for gift cards or Paypal cash.
The watch category of Swagbucks does exactly what you think, it allows you to earn a little by watching videos on the website. When you are sitting around and feeling a little bored at home, you may use YouTube. Instead of using YouTube, you may want to watch videos on Swagbucks for SB. You may like the videos, you may not; it will all depend on who you are. It is just another way to make a little extra in your down time.
The play feature on Swagbucks allows you to play games and make Swagbucks. If you are the gaming type and you are playing games on the internet anyway, you may like the idea of making a few cents playing games.
For example, you may play a game and earn 2 SB after playing it two times. You can receive a maximum of 10 SB for games in a day. Again this isn’t much, but it is money you didn’t have before. If you combine playing games with other tasks, like search, you may be able to make a little extra to redeem each month.
If you do a lot of shopping online, you may be interested in doing your shopping through Swagbucks. You will receive Swagbucks for purchasing certain items through their site. For example, maybe you purchase your dog food through Swagbucks via Amazon. If the dog food cost is $25, you may receive 100 SB’s, which is the equivalent of $1. You would save 4% on that hypothetical purchase.
If Swagbucks sounds like it is for you, you can click here to signup and get $5 added to your account! You can signup and start earning as early as today. Experiment with a few of the topics above and you will find the ones that fit you best.
If you are still on the fence, below is my theory as to who will like Swagbucks and who will not.
Who you are, will define if you will like Swagbucks
This is just my theory, but I think there are four different people we can categorize when it comes to anything similar to Swagbucks. I have no idea the demographics of the people who fall into these categories. I’m not sure if they are majority male or female, and I don’t know what an average age may be. I just know the following types of people can define your potential interest in the cult of Swagbucks to earn rewards online.
Two categories of people who will like Swagbucks
1. Those who crave the feeling of making extra money.
Some people just love the feeling of making extra money. For these people, to have money they didn’t have before, excites them. A mere $1 extra per day can make your day, every day. You can envision a few weeks down the road where you have earned enough rewards that you can cash out a gift card. When you use your gift card, it feels so much sweeter to you, because you actively made that extra money instead of spending from your normal income.
If you are NOT the person who cares about that $1 and gets that feeling of redeeming that gift card, chances are you probably aren’t the person who will be in the cult of Swagbucks.
2. You get a kick out of making a little money doing the things you already do on a daily basis.
Some of you may become addicted to Swagbucks because it offers an opportunity to make a little bit of money doing what you already do. For example, if you use Swagbucks to search the internet, you can make a little money using their search feature. It may be a few cents for searching, but if you are searching the internet anyway, you get a kick out of making some spare change while doing a task you made no money with before.
You basically like the idea of monetizing your time with no additional time outlay.
Two categories of people who will not like Swagbucks
1. Those who just want the signup bonus offer.
This one pretty much speaks for itself. If you sign up for Swagbucks through my link, you will be credited 500 swagbucks (the equivalent of about $5). If you sign up just for the credit with no intention of using Swagbucks, you are obviously not going to be the person who will fall into the cult. I just mention this because there is a whole group of people out there who fall into this category.
2. You make too much money.
Finally, there are those who simply make too much money and when it comes to the small amounts of extra income Swagbucks can generate, it is a pittance relative to your income.
If you make an extra $100 a month with Swagbucks and your income is $10,000 per month, you may not feel all very accomplished making an extra 1% of your income. However, if you make $2,000 per month and use Swagbucks to make an extra $100 for the month, you are bringing in an extra 5% to your household. 5% can be motivating while 1%, ehhhh, not so much.
You probably know the category you fit into, and if you are that first and second category, Swagbucks will probably be something that clicks for you. If you are ready to signup, you can click here to signup and receive $5 in your acount.
